Stained Colorado w/ US Marshal Badge
Colorado’s current flag was designed and adopted in 1911. When it was originally adopted, legislature didn’t specify several important aspects—including the size of the “C” and the shades of red and blue. This caused variation in early Colorado flags, until the official description was updated to specify these aspects, first in 1929 and again in 1964. There are four colors on the Colorado state flag: blue represents Colorado skies, gold represents either the sun or the gold ore traditionally mined in the state, white represents the Colorado’s snow-capped mountains and red represents the color of Colorado’s earth.
